Six Days to Go

Record the number of cigarettes you smoke
You should record the number of cigarettes you smoke each day.
You will need a:
  • Cigarette scorecard (click here to view / print a sample scorecard)Wrap a piece of paper around your cigarette pack. Secure it with tape or a rubber band.
  • Cigarette pencilPlace a short pencil (a golf pencil is good) in your cigarette pack.

Each time you smoke a cigarette, put a pencil mark on the scorecard showing the day and time you smoked. At the end of the day, add up the number of cigarettes you smoked and write it at the bottom of the card.

Wait before you light up
Over the next 5 days, whenever you have an urge to smoke, wait 5 minutes before doing so.

One pack
at a time
For the next 5 days, buy your cigarettes one pack at a time, not by the carton.

Smoking Lifeline
On the lifeline below, click onto those years that you have been a smoker. Leave out those years, or parts of years, that you may have quit.

Nicotine Replacement Products
If you're interested in using a Nicotine replacement product (gum, patch, inhaler, nasal spray) or a prescription medication along with the Smokeless program, talk to your physician or pharmacist.
